Our first Geocache

Mike, Katie, Freddie, Grannykim and Grandad all came for the weekend and came to see the Ragged Child (which they all seemed to enjoy). The Effingpots brought their latest gadget - a hand-held satnav into which you can enter the grid reference you are looking for. So we had out first try at geocaching.
a
It was a surprisingly easy first try. We headed up to Burrough Hill and the satnav took us right to the spot where the cache was hidden. It was a small tupperware box containing a log book (in which we wrote our entry) and lots of little gifts that people had left behind - a yo-yo, a little toy doll, a bag of beads, etc.

It was just enough of a walk to work up an appetite, then it was off to the village of Grimston for a pub lunch - delicious!
